Shoveling snow in New York

Big news for the week past was the "Nor'easter" that hit the northeastern part of the US Sunday, 12 Feb. It was a record. Snow was measured at 26.9 inches (approx 2 ft 2 inches) in New York's Central Park breaking the Dec 26, 1947 blizzard according to the National Weather Service.
In New Jersey, my brother and his wife were scheduled to have their new addition to their family (daughter Caela) baptized that day. The priest, not wanting his flock to be in danger, wisely postponed the event for the following Sunday. Fortunately my wife, one of the godparents, was unable to be physically present for the ceremony or she would have been stranded as flights were cancelled. Our realtor who was in Connecticut for the weekend called to inform us that he was stranded and won't be able to meet with us as scheduled on Monday.
