Week Past 02/20-02/26
In Threes
They say it comes in threes...the not so pleasant news...and it did this week. Got a call from my sister in Boston that our dear old mom who's visiting my brother in law in CA was rushed to the hospital because of recurrence of blood in her stool. Then my brother in law also had to be confined to a different hospital for observation because he was throwing up and experiencing stomach pains. Thank God, both were nothing serious. Alls well that ends well. The third unpleasant news? My brother in Manila informed us when he called to check on our mother that our Tita Nena broke her arm when she slipped on her way home from church. Again, thank God no major bone structure was affected like the hip bone. At her age recovery would be slow and maybe not complete.
1017
Ironic and tragic
Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's edict/
Declaring a National State of Emergency
On the eve of People Power's 20th Anniversary/
It was Proclamation 1017
Issued to avert threats that were unheard and unseen/
But the administration insists that there are numerous not just one
Hence its declaration short of Proclamation 1081/
I lament and bemoan
The state our country is on/
A never ending strife
Caused by leaders whose greed rules their life/
I lament and bemoan
The situation our citizens are on/
A never ending privation
Caused by leaders whose only concern is their own/
I fear and pray that it will not happen
And hope that our so called leaders will awaken/
Before our streets are turned into red
Because threats are no longer unseen or unheard/

Hi Rey,

Buti naman at all the problems were somehow resolved or alleviated. Yung problema ng gobyerno natin ang mukhang mahihirapan no?

Tito Rolly,
Salamat sa pag-bisita mo sa aking blog. Tama ka, yung problema ng gobyerno natin ang mahihirapan iresolba hangga't hindi nagbabago ang layunin ng ating mga pinuno at trapos: magpayaman habang nakaluklok. Napakalungkot Tito Rolly.
